Resthaven Care Center Additions
The Resthaven Care Center is pleased to be building an addition that will greatly enhance the lives of all who live, visit, work, and volunteer on this campus.
Serving some of the oldest and most frail members of our community, the Resthaven Care Center provides nursing care, dementia care, and rehabilitation services for those recovering from injury, illness, or surgery. These residents expect great medical care and deserve privacy, dignity, good relationships with staff and family members, and a good quality of life.

Phase I Improvements
- The Commons which includes a new entry, lobby, café, patio, and chapel.
- The Rehabilitation & Wellness Center which will be home-base for all rehabilitation efforts with state-of-the-art equipment and expert physical, occupational, and speech therapy.
Construction is underway with completion scheduled in May 2012. The addition will be centrally located between the current entrance and the Good Shepherd Home and will add needed community space for residents, their families, their guests, and our awesome volunteers.

Phase II Improvements
- The Rehabilitation Cottage which will be a cozy place for physical rehabilitation before returning home.
- Conversion of 16 rooms in our Care Center from semi-private to private rooms.
Phase II construction completely depends on the success of our fundraising efforts, but we hope to have commitments so we can begin immediately after Phase I is completed in the spring of 2012. The new building will be attached to the East side of the Care Center and will be located near the new Rehabilitation & Wellness Center.
People who need short-term therapy in order to return home safely will enjoy a personalized experience in the new Rehabilitation Cottage, with private rooms, excellence in dining, a welcoming fireplace, and spa.
Once the Rehabilitation Cottage opens, we will convert 16 semi-private rooms in the Care Center into private rooms for long-term care residents. That leaves a few shared rooms for those who enjoy the company of others, for spouses, or for relatives. Quality of life will be greatly improved for all!
